Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra Design
The Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra will easily stand out in the crowd for its unique design. The Galaxy S20 Ultra looks a lot like previous Samsung phones – the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy Note 10 still have a curve on the right and left ends of the screen. But especially on S20 Ultra steroids like the Galaxy flagship. For one, the display is huge, extending from corner to corner to 9.9 inches, which is larger than the 8.6-inch Galaxy Note 10 Plus. And the giant rectangular camera array in the back dominates the back of the device, spreading aggressively from an otherwise unforgettable slab of gray glass.
S20 Ultra Design
It’s also heavier than the 220G (roughly between the 175G and 276G Galaxy Fold on the S10 Plus). The Galaxy S20 Ultra is the flagship smartphone from Samsung’s Galaxy S20 series. As the name suggests, the device is huge with a 9.9-inch display, which makes the phone uncomfortable for single-handed use. The Galaxy S20 Ultra QHD + panel has great viewing angles and the output is clear. The panel is bright enough when going out. The device seems to be extremely well built. Camera glasses flash for distant objects. A lot of times, the camera team of different phone manufacturers has told Tekdar that “we will fit in better cameras, but the design team has won” – this is a direct statement from one of them.

A lot of times, the camera team of different phone manufacturers has told Tekdar that “we will fit in better cameras, but the design team has won” – this is a direct statement from one of them. The 48MP telephoto lens allows us to get close and personal thanks to the impressive variety of zoom lenses. It surpassed the 2x optical and 10x digital zoom of previous Samsung phones and surpassed the limited 8x digital zoom in the Google Pixel 4 – although 100x zoom snaps were rarely eligible for Instagram, the 30x zoom looks subtle on the tripod.
S20 Ultra Design
Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra has a monster-related list: 12GB or 16GB of RAM and 128GB or 512GB of internal storage kick things off. The mode can last for more than 24 hours. Last year’s phone had a screen fingerprint sensor but sadly it was the first S phone without a 3.5SM headphone jack. The Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra IP68 comes with 30 minutes of submerged immersion for 1.5 minutes with dust/water-resistant. When the device is only 8.8mm thick, thanks to the curved edges on the back, it feels a lot. It is a firmly built device. The phone comes with a transparent silicone case that combines with the protrusion of the camera module when snapped.
Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra Display
The new Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra has some of the best elements imaginable, and the generous 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED display is definitely one of them, according to DisplayMate’s latest display shootout. The latest test of the Galaxy S20 Ultra has a performance record of fewer than 12 smartphones. From the most perfect color skills to the highest peak display and the brightness of the largest native color range. The 6.9-inch panel has a 2: 9 aspect ratio with 3200x1440px native resolution resulting in a 511ppi pixel density. Samsung’s 9.9-inch display will remove the limitations of your fingertips and thumb skills, but it won’t seem much bigger than the S10 Plus – its width is actually smaller than the 6.8-inch Note 10 Plus and the 6.7-inch Galaxy S10 5G.
All S20s come with a 120Hz refresh rate, Ultra included. At least for now, the only caveat is that you can get a higher refresh rate only if you switch the resolution to 2400x1080p with a maximum resolution of a maximum of 60 rigs. The S20 Ultra supports 240Hz touch sensing.
S20 Ultra Display
OLED display technology continues to improve as LCD popularity continues to decline. Ultra is imposing on its appearance, it is simply black or slate gray. Physically and aesthetically – the most prominent thing is the rectangular camera module on the back. Like the Galaxy Note 10, the S20 display benefits from accurate factory display calibration and is rated as perfect for both image quality and color accuracy. Compared to the Galaxy S10, Samsung’s latest display surpasses its predecessor in a few previous respects and boasts a 23% larger screen area, a higher refresh rate, and better outdoor visibility for 14% brighter screens.
Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra Camera
- 108MP main camera lets you crop into photos while minimizing quality loss.
- Most 108MP shots we took ended up having autofocus and overexposure issues.
- The 100x zoom is a neat party trick, but not Instagram-worthy; 10x is where the magic happens.
- The is the best selfie camera, but not the best camera – at least not with the current software.
Samsung has already won a big phone build with a screen bigger than once. This is almost not the case with the Galaxy S20. The most important new feature is the new camera system. The Galaxy S20 Ultra has a camera system that is completely own. Samsung is trying to compete by using new technology for smartphone cameras. Let’s start with the real camera. The S20 Ultra has five cameras. Most of them have high-quality megapixels. 40 MP on the selfie camera, 48 MP on telephoto, and full 108 megapixels on the original wide-angle camera. The ultraviolet camera is another one with a fixed 12-megapixel sensor.
However, Samsung has a tendency to over-expose images in the 108mm mode while its additional image processing can smooth the face and texture. Another problem: we had problems with autofocus in several of our experiments. Once we spread the good 108MP shots we had trouble uploading 20MB files to some social media networks because their resolution was 12,000 x 9,000-pixels. Twitter has not only downgraded images, it has flat-rejected. The individual photosites are 0.8µm large, just like the vast majority of quad-bearings on the market, and bundling in 3-by-3 squares results in a pixel of 2.4µm – the same pixel size you would get at 20MP.
S20 Ultra Camera
Samsung’s U-Ultra telephoto works better than previous low-light images. Other periscopes show that it has a very large sensor – a large midrange phone like the 1/2 “48MP quad buyer unit used for the primary camera. This is a very good compensation for 108 megapixels. The title feature is a zoom, and there’s one more technical detail for it. The S20 Ultra telephoto lens is a “folded” lens, meaning the light hits a prism and a mirror system that drives it through a kind of periscope before hitting the sensor.
The so-called “space zoom” lets you go up to 100X by mixing periscope with multiple photos and cropping sensors. For the same reason, 8K video recording is often a good idea, even if you have nothing but 4K TV: you can crop and edit without details. It gives you a 12MP photo and 1080p video output although it gives you creative latitude.
Portrait mode, called Samsung Live Focus, works better in daylight than most camera phones but fights at night. Regardless, we never said that Samsung had the best camera, we said earlier that it has the funniest camera in it because of this feature – color point filter in a selective black and white mode), makes your subject pop.

The Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra, like all S20 handsets, will be the first phone on the market with Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 865 processor, which promises faster performance and reduced power consumption. A UI2 is the name of Samsung’s custom software on top of Android 10 and as always, I think it makes some smart improvements to the default interface. Here are original screen recordings, readily available content and a sidebar you can swipe from anywhere to have your calendar, clipboard history, weather, or other useful widgets. Everything is great.
This CPUT comes with 12GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, but you can order the S20 Ultra for $1,599 with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. (Of course, you can expand the S20 Ultra storage with a microSD card, and the phone will support 1TB cards).
S20 Ultra Space and Performance
The Galaxy S20 Ultra will almost certainly be the first 5G smartphone for many people – 1% of the phones shipped in 2019 were only 5G devices, so it’s still a very new technology. How fast is 5G on S20 Ultra? At least in New York City, we’ve got exactly 66 times more speed than the 4G LTE iPhone 11, Pro Max, right next to Samsung’s phone. We got 1.9GBS on Verizon’s Mimi Wave network at Bryant Park, which broke our previous 1.6Gbps record on the Galaxy S10 Plus in the same place.
Samsung likes to win speech fights and most of it is easy to dismiss as a chest boil. But for most users, I think there are two: the aforementioned 5,000mAh battery and 12 or 16GB RAM. The larger battery helps the paper with any problems arising from 5G or higher refresh rate screens and does not allow the extra RAM of the memory to shut down the application. Both are sledgehammer solutions, but I’m not complaining.
S20 Ultra 5G
The rest of the S-20 Ultra and S20 line is the first mainstream 5G phones. On T-Mobile, I’ve seen 5G speeds that are barely good from LTE to 120 Mbps, which is quite fast. Once on Verizon, I found a street corner with 5G (no easy feat) and I found download speeds between 800 and 1,400 Mbps which is a quick fool. However, I could also walk 50 feet and the 5G signal would go down. Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G Speed Test Verizon’s 5G network is built on MMW and is available in more than 30 cities, while both T-Mobile and AT&T provide low-band networks. T-Mobile has reached 5,000 cities, and A&T has 20 cities.
Sprint’s mid-band network provides slightly faster speeds than T-Mobile and Verizon, but it’s almost not as fast as Verizon’s 5G network. Whatever the network, the Galaxy S20 Ultra will work with any carrier’s 5G setup.
S20 Ultra Battery life
Inside the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra is a 5,000mAh battery, a number we’re used to seeing on lower-end smartphones typically marketed as battery champs. There are two main reasons for the larger batteries this year – the 5G connection and the 120Hz display. Also, the Ultra also has a considerable amount of this display, so anything less than this 5000mAh would be very low. We found that on days when we weren’t testing 5G motionless stops, the Ultra lasted more than 24 hours.
The Ultra lasted 12 hours 13 minutes in our battery drain test via the web pages of the T-Mobile LTE network. Switching to a 120Hz screen, using exactly the same hour, shaving the phone for three hours 9 hours 13 minutes is hard for us to talk about the fluidity of the die 120Hz screen, but you may want to turn it off when you’re not gaming.
