We were looking forward to a new iMac in 2020, and Apple has delivered, especially when the new all-in-one is now coming fast with the latest tenth-generation Intel Comet Lake processor – state-of-the-art state drive (SSD) across the board, powerful AMD Radion Pro graphics card and bag Rodham.

On the other hand, the speed of the Thunderbolt 3 interface (these include iMac two) means you can connect SDD and RED storage very quickly, for example, no need to open the case and no need to add more drives later. But you can’t do that. You can plug in two 6K external monitors.

Apple iMac 27-Inch Design

After all, if you can dream it up for everyone, you can do it on iMac. It’s beautifully designed, incredibly intuitive, and packed with powerful tools that let you take any idea to the next level. And the new Apple iMac 27-Inch model enhances the experience in every way, including faster processors and graphics, expanded memory and storage, enhanced audio and video capabilities, and even more stunning Retina 5K displays. It’s the desktop that does it all – better and faster than ever.

At first glance, this Apple iMac looks like last year looking 27 inches. As we mentioned earlier the new Apple iMac 27-Inch design is quite unchanged from previous models without going into SSD storage. Otherwise, the look and dimensions of the new iMac are the same as the previous models and even the most enthusiastic Apple fan will probably admit that the device is a bit lighter as it is a bit fresher.

The only other significant difference in design is that the Retina 5K display now comes with nano-textured glass – but it’s a sleek addition. With a display as great as the iMac, it would be nice if Apple could show it more with a bezel as small as possible. Apple hasn’t changed the iMac’s design since 2012 after introducing a slim unibody design with a razor-thin 5mm display, aluminum stand, and aluminum border at the bottom of the machine.

Apple iMac 27-inch

Design

For example, the bezels around the screen look particularly old nowadays, while rival all-in-one PCs use more slim bezels that make them look modern and keep the overall size down. The Apple ‘Magic Keyboard’ is wireless and very slim, but it has a very nice short, light, and positive key travel.

The included “Magic Mouse” is known for splitting opinions but it is a masterpiece of minimal design. Also, like last year, we need to mention that the new iMac has a charging port under the Magic Mouse 2. This is an annoying choice because it means you can’t use the mouse while charging it. Simply removing the port will solve this. All I / O ports sit behind the display and Apple iMac has a lot to offer in the Apple iMac 27-Inch case.

Apple iMac

There are 4 USB ports, two Thunderbolt 3 ports which we also know as USB-C, an SD card slot, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a Gigabit Ethernet port. If you need a faster network connection, you can upgrade this 1 Gbps port to a 10 Gbps Ethernet port. Thunderbolt ports support data speeds of up to 40 GB and external displays (up to 6K) and USB 3.1 ports can go up to 10 Gbps at data transfer speeds.

Apple iMac 27-inch

Apple iMac 27-Inch Display

Pulls you in. Everything looks better on a retina display with a billion colors and 500 brightness. Photos and graphics jump from the screen. The writing is very sharp. And for the first time, the Apple iMac 27-Inch has True Tone technology and a nano-textured glass option to reduce glare for a more natural viewing experience. A minimal glimpse is the most detailed. First seen on the Pro Display XDR, the 26-inch iMac’s nano-textured glass option is a game-changer for the workplace with sunlight, direct light, or modified lighting conditions.

Unlike ordinary matte display coatings, the nano-texture is bound to the glass at the nanometer level. For jaw-drop image quality, it reduces glare when preserving contrast. Take your creative ideas from Apple to Retina 5K display with Apple iMac 27-Inch. With a screen resolution of 5K (5120 x 2880), this iMac provides one billion colors and 500 nights of brightness. Featuring a wider P3 color gamut on the Retina 5K display, it provides a larger color space that transfers from standard white LEDs to red-green phosphor LEDs that represent red, green, and blue more evenly.

And with more available colors the images will appear more vivid and reveal more details with more balance and precision. The Apple iMac 27-Inch display has been further enhanced by True Tone technology for a more natural viewing experience. True Tone has been added to Apple’s Macs for several years now, but this is the first time it has been included in the iMac display.Apple

Display

Also found on iPads, iPhones, and MacBooks, True Tone adjusts the color temperature of the screen depending on the ambient light. Most of the time, the True Tone makes the display even more yellow because most of the room light tends towards light warm shades but it has a subtle effect that can be disabled if desired. The feature matches both color and texture to match the lighting of the room, giving a more paper-like viewing experience that will also cut into the Istrain.

The biggest change to the Apple iMac 27-Inch (2020) is actually an anis-nano-textured glass. This material also scatters light “at the nanometer level” to eliminate reflection and glare use even in direct sunlight. The iMac model that was sent to us actually came with nano-textures and we were impressed with the results. For those who have had to deal with screen glare, the nano-texture option will be worth the $500 investment.

Even the base-level Apple iMac 27-Inch comes with a nice 5K screen and enough power for most photo-editing needs, but if you want to work in a multi-layer Photoshop combination, you’ll want more RAM or better 4K. A graphics card for video editing, or a fast processor for 3D rendering … and much more.Apple iMac 27-inch

Apple iMac 27-Inch Processor and Memory

iMac and powerful processors go together. The Apple iMac 27-Inch model provides up to 10-core Intel Core i9 processors for handling heavy tasks, such as layering dozens of audio tracks for heavy work and compiling test codes. It can be configured with up to 128GB of memory to double the speed of the most complex Pro workflow, which is double the capacity of the previous generation.

Apple sent us one of the most powerful configurations the Apple iMac 27-Inch (2020) comes in, with a nano-texture screen, a 3.6HZ 10-core 10th generation Intel Core i9 processor (with 5GHz turbo boost), 32GB RAM, an AMD Radeon Pro 5700XT GPU with 16GB of GDDR6 memory and 1TB of SSD storage. Needless to say, you can open as many tabs in Chrome and not have to worry about performance hits. In our time with the new Apple iMac 27-Inch, we saw that the Max Catalina boots and moves faster. Switching to SSDs for internal storage and uninterrupted processor evolution makes this iMac faster than ever.

The Lightroom, Capture One, and DXO Photo Lab all run faster than the old 21.5-inch iMac, though you’re not going to change any steps here. The speed depends on the software as well as the hardware and whether it can use the multi-core processor and GPU acceleration properly. The creativity of many more esoteric processors and graphics card options works with 3D render, advanced audio mixing, and other non-photographic functions. Everything is faster than before because the interiors are now faster through the chain. Performance makes a difference like most of my workflows.Apple iMac 27-inch

Apple iMac 27-Inch Graphics

IMac’s graphics make everything worth seeing. The Apple iMac 27-Inch model brings the AMD Radion Pro 5300 graphics card with 4GBDDR6 VRM for graphics-intensive workflows such as editing UHD video or developing a lifelike game environment. The new IMAX has AMD radiation up to 5000 GB and 16 GB VRM. The Radian Pro 5300 is a standard alternative to the entry-level and mid-tier models, while the high-end model has a Radian Pro 5500 XT that can be upgraded to the Radian Pro 5700 XT.

On the Rise of the Tomb Raider benchmark (1080p, Very High settings), the iMac averaged 52.3 fps, edging past the Surface Studio 2’s score of 51 fps. On the Civilization IV benchmark, the iMac averaged 46.3 fps at 2560 x 1440, also a more than the respectable score. The high-end Apple iMac 27-Inch (2020) is seen as a great investment. For amateurs and semi-professionals, Apple is positioning iMac as a desktop, and our tests seem to support it so far.

The base model comes with a Radian Pro 500-Series GPU which is a significant improvement over the previous generation base GPU. Upgrade to the iMac Pro’s Vega 56 Distance Scream Radian Pro 5700XT and you’ll have a powerful graphics machine without having to jump into the more expensive iMac Pro.

Apple iMac 27-inch

Apple iMac 27-Inch Storage

The Apple iMac 27-Inch ship comes with 256 or 512GB SSD but can be upgraded with 1TB, 2TB, 4TB, or 8DB SSD storage. The lower-end iMac cannot be upgraded, while the middle layer can be upgraded with 1TB or 2TB storage. The high-end model can only be customized with 4TB or 8TB SSD.

The Apple iMac 27-Inch flash storage is respected by the logic board and cannot be moved, but for 4TB and 8TB configurations, a flash storage expansion board is attached to a connector on the logic board. The 256GB, 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB configurations have no expansion boards and connectors, and no logic boards on the logic board to support mechanical HDD. Using the Blackmagic Disk Speed synthetic benchmark, iMac’s 1TB SSD has achieved average write speeds of 2757 Mbps and 2467 Mbps.Apple iMac 27-inch
