Acer XFA 240 Gaming Monitor

Acer Gaming Monitor

The Acer XFA240 is a 24-inch gaming monitor available for a bargain price, yet it doesn’t cut your corners as much. It tops at 1080p (FHD resolution), yet it has a smooth 144Hz refresh rate and 1 ms response time, both specs that gamers look for when buying a new display. With 1000: 1 contrast ratio, the display creates a rich color profile that is great for gaming and media use. If you’re looking for a Sub-200 gaming monitor with a 144Hz refresh rate, this is a must-see.

Perhaps the biggest selling point is the ability to work with both ATM’s FreeSink and NVIDIA’s G-Sync integrated Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) technology, providing smooth visuals regardless of the graphics card (GPU) in your vein. Is this the right monitor for you? I have been using XFA 240 for about a week now. Take your gaming experience to the next level with the Acer XF Monitor, especially for providing unlimited visuals and super-smooth gameplay.

Zoom around the corners and take headshots as a professional with a 1mm response that reduces speed blur during fast motion, so you’ll see every detail clearly even at top speed. Also, with 100% SRGB color gamut and IPS technology, the colors stay true and vibrant, regardless of perspective. Acer’s gaming monitors run this game: Whether you are on a budget or have the best offer on the market, you have a good chance of the company considering it.

On paper, it looks great cold for the box but we were able to perform it under pressure. Will the Acer XFA 240 appear next to your shopping list? Let’s dig and find out.

Acer XFA 240 Gaming Monitor Design

Before I get started, I need to give Acer the props to create a budget gaming monitor that lags behind in terms of build quality and features. The 24-inch XFA 240 doesn’t have the ultimate sleek look you get with a lot of the best high-gaming monitors – the bezel measures about an inch and a half in thickness and it doesn’t flush with the screen. Around the perimeter of the screen, the bezel extends outwards about 5 mm.

The thickness of the bezel combined with the overall depth of the device gives the XFA 240 a somewhat dated look. However, the colors of the monitor enhance the aesthetic, matte black with red trim at the base.

This makes the monitor look good at first glance. The Acer XFA 240 is simply designed. You won’t find the typical gamer flair on double-priced displays – the name of the game reduces the add-ons added to your gaming experience and converts people into higher refresh rate performance instead of gaming-grade. As such, there is no RGB or stylized etching; What you see in the picture is not from the monitor, but from a separate backlight.

What you get instead is a simple display that is easy to set up and includes gaming. The stand has a red ring around the base as a single splash of color and is attached to the arm with a thumbscrew. The stand is also quite good, with a height adjustment of about six inches, plenty of elts to use the display while standing, and even the ability to pivot 90-degrees for portrait direction. The only downside is that it won’t rotate even though the base isn’t too heavy for manual replacement as needed. The display is compatible with waiters and subsequent mounts.

Sit six hard buttons in the bottom right corner that control the monitor’s features and functions. The right-hand button turns the monitor on and off, but there’s a main power switch on the back. The remaining five buttons control menu functions, volumes, inputs, and modes. Coming from a larger display, I found the size of the XFA 240 to be “enough” for a better gameplay experience.

I just like the fact that the Acer XFA 240 is bringing a DisplayPort cable out of the box because it costs a lot of money to buy it individually.

Acer XFA 240 Gaming Monitor Display

I am interested to talk about the Acer XFA 240 screen. For starters, it’s a 24-inch TN panel with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 and it’s capable of a 144hz refresh rate. Acer’s XFA 240 screen isn’t bad at all for the price. You get 352 nits of brightness, 106.3% of SRGB spectrum, and 0.26 of Delta E color accuracy (even better than zero).

Compare the S2421 HGF and vice versa with the comparable Dell 24 gaming monitor, which has an equal SRGB percentage, but only 284 nits of brightness and a Delta E of 0.3. What’s more, it’s a free sync panel compatible with GSync. So, if you have a compatible Nvidia graphics card, you can enable the technology mentioned in the Nvidia Control Panel.

It is very good to see color and brightness from a qualitative point of view. For everyday use, even 50% brightness is enough to work, while the colors look sharp and accurate. Blacks are nothing special, but the screen can display vibrating blues, reds, and browns without issue.

Acer Gaming Monitor

One of the most important things when buying a gaming monitor is the specification of the display. The display glasses determine the speed and fluidity of the gameplay. The Acer XF240HT 144hz TN 24-inch display has the same level of features as a 1000: 1 contrast ratio and 1 ms response times that feature top-level TN products. Its input lag is also minimal for a 144hz monitor.

Only 28mm, you can use any skill in Valence without delay without any feeling. You will notice that the screen is a bit brighter and the colors in the boxes are horribly washed out.

The image instantly gets better as you adjust some settings using the OSD button. It works with your compatible graphics card to adjust the refresh rate based on the frame rate. This means you don’t have to worry too much about tearing, shaking, or artwork when your computer is outputting more frames per second than it was designed to handle your monitor.

Acer XFA 240 Gaming Monitor Performance

The 144hz monitor is built for high performance. After switching to a 144hz monitor, players have significantly increased performance and reported a better, smoother experience. The Acer XF240H is cheaper but no different. At its native 1920 * 1080 resolution, the Acer XFA240HT is capable of producing a high FPS output and maximizes the refresh rate.

Note that the backlight of the monitor is vibrating free because it does not use PWMM (pulse-width modulation) to control the brightness, so if you are sensitive to vibration, you do not have to worry about headaches.
There is also a low-blue light filter, which when enabled removes harmful blue lights and prevents eye strain. If you have an Adaptive-Sync (FreeSync) compatible graphics card, you’ll be able to use the full potential of the Acer XFA 240 144 AIDS Gaming Monitor.

FreeSink technology removes tears and stuttering from the screen by allowing it to change its refresh rate according to the monitor’s GPU frame rate, thus providing you with a Variable Refresh Rate (VRR). AMD LFC (Low Framerate Compensation) is also supported, which means Frisink will not stop working even if your FPS drops below 48; The refresh rate of the display will double or triple the frame rate for smooth performance.Acer XFA 240

I played several games on XFA 240 during my test week and it performed very well. Running Full HD is an easier resolution than ever before, so keeping games at a triple-digit frame rate is an option for gamers with a few years of old hardware. With most of the games I’ve tried with my RTX 2080, it’s virtually pegged.

The XFA240’s menu doesn’t have many relevant presets, just a “game mode” that brightens up the screen and makes things a bit sharper. Although in many cases the game mode has made the situation worse. The tomb rider’s ancient catacombs felt infected and washed; Mongolian steps in the imperial era look like pixelated rubbish

The Acer XFA 240 gaming monitor effectively brings high refresh rate gameplay to the public with its affordable price but I’m disappointed to see how much trade-off is needed. For gamers competing on a budget, it gets the job done, but going one step further can be even more affordable. Although none of the features featured in our Acer XFA 240 review jumped on me as a revolutionary, I was pleasantly surprised to hear how much I liked the whole package.

It’s a cheap, non-slip display with high-cost adjustment, vertical rotation, built-in speakers and audio jack, and a sharp, colorful screen display. If you have a gaming rig built for a 1080p output, it’s a perfectly good monitor.

Seriously, if you’re a budget gamer and you want a gaming monitor that’s amazing for a price tag of less than $200, the Acer XFA 240 doesn’t make sense.
