Acer Predator Helios 300 Laptop Design
With angular planes and lines, a matte black metallic coating, and some flavorful chrome accents, Predator is transformed into a killer-sensitive robot in seconds like a watch … Exit vents running sideways and rear is going to get supersonic acceleration. At least it’s a valuable design. You should, however, be wary of the fog because in the case of top metals they collect quickly. When I opened the Predator ID icon, I found a nicely arranged style keyboard in front of the keyboard deck and around the touchpad, welcoming me with bright backlit keys and chrome accents. The turbo button at the top of the deck dared to press it and get involved with Warp Factor Ten gaming.
This gaming laptop tries to keep the gamer stuck to the gun-metallic finish with its metallic chassis, red accents and geometric cuts, and tapered edges. The top cover has prelit lettering and the logo on the cover, while the bottom plastic cover has easily removable sections for hard drives and RAM that you can upgrade. I won’t judge the Predator Helios 300 based on this number. When I opened the Predator ID icon, I found a nicely styled style keyboard on the front of the keyboard deck and around the touchpad, welcoming me with bright backlit keys and chrome accents.
Contact the aluminum premium deck and the chat ID will contact the fingerprinted people with the mats of Kakna Helios 300K Premium. The device is equipped with a somewhat light blue accent, which is the opposite of the black aluminum connection. The printer logo has a blue backlight. The Acer Predator Helios 300 also has a stable display. The two hinges not only hold the display firmly and do not tear the minimum, but they allow the device to be opened with one hand.
The laptop is medium in size – obviously not small but not too heavy and surprisingly lighter. Although there is a hard drive missing in our review unit, and we are wondering how heavy it is if we drive it. You can tell how the design indicates this gaming laptop as a whole: it’s not the best and it has several flaws but in other cases, you have enough complaints that you will find very few reasons to complain.
Acer Predator Helios 300 Laptop Ports
The Acer Helios 300 is equipped with all the ports that most gamers will need. The device has four USB 3.2 ports, one of which is a Type-C. You can connect to an external display via the Helios 300’s Type-C port. You can also use dedicated HDMI and mini display port ports instead. Acer also includes an Ethernet port but no card reader. Therefore, if you want to transfer files from memory cards, you must have an adapter in your hand.
Like most OEMs, Acer has delivered ports to the left and right of the device. However, these are flanked by large ventilation grills that can neutralize the warm air with your hands, regardless of which hand you hold the external mouse in. Cables can go your way, too, but both are minor grips. There are two more ventilation grills on the back of the device.
- Left: Kensington Lock, Fan Vents, Power Connector, Ethernet, 2x USB 3.2 Type-A, 3.5mm Jack.
- Right: USB 3.2 Type-C, USB 3.2 Type-A, Mini-DisplayPort, HDMI, Fan Vents.
Acer Predator Helios 300 Laptop Display
Helios’ 15-inch, 1920 x 1080-pixel screen is the future with its 240Hz refresh rate. We can do without a thick, 1-inch bezel. Other than that, we’re pretty happy with the 1080p display. It has real-time-life color reproduction, with more powerful blue and magenta colors we are better than warm tones for gaming and movie watching. The display also has a refresh rate of 144Hz to 240Hz, which you wouldn’t normally see on a budget gaming laptop. This is a major upgrade of the 2017 model to reduce opacity and help create omitted frames. It has an IPS panel with a 144Hz refresh rate and a fast 3mm response time. There’s no Nvidia G-Sync, so gaming isn’t as smooth as before, but it’s still very good.
The 15.6 “IPS display has a Full HD 1920 x 1080 screen resolution and a 16: 9 aspect ratio. Is powered by a dedicated NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 graphics card with HDMI 2.0 port with HDMP support. Acer has a 15pin screen with a 1080p resolution, which is great for gaming. It’s high enough to deliver crisp images, but without putting too much pressure on the graphics core. Sadly, the average brightness of the Helios 300 panel is only 276 nits, less than the average of 295-nits.
Zepheras led the G14 group, scoring 323 PT to make the rider 300 knights. Auras brought the rear with a sub-standard 243 net. Acer also offers great quality. It has a higher brightness of 343 nits and means the helios can handle bright artificial light and outdoors. This is related to a black layer of 0.28 nit, which helps to bring the appropriate depth to the dark region.
The audio quality on the Helios 300 is very clear. A truly harmonious speaker on this gaming laptop from the side panel. This position is clear and suitable for higher noise. When I play music on this laptop, music, and voices are completely clear. The default Dolby Audio app provides music, movie, and game modes. Very balanced audio comes from this gaming PC.
Acer Predator Helios 300 Laptop performance
The laptop has no problem running regular Windows 10 applications and boot times are quite fast, thanks to SSD. The Helios 300 with 2.6-GHz Intel Core i7-10750H processor, 32GB RAM, and 512GB PCI SSD never fought for a minute during my testing. It even ran 40 CPU-powered Google Chrome tabs, including 21 bridges in Hulu, some running camera reviews on YouTube, and one more Ted Talk without a sweat. Best of all, a dedicated graphics card with a solid-state drive and an 8th generation Intel Core processor at the bottom makes this budget gaming laptop an impressive one when it comes to performance.
The laptop works great, rendering almost as fast as my desktop, it has a desktop processor and 32GB of RAM. If I’m in the middle of shooting a video and need some quick editing, this gaming rig likes to do more. Of course, this is not the best gaming laptop on the market. But its performance is one step below the best and says a lot about how powerful this affordable gaming machine is. To get 60 frames (fps) per second in most demanding games, you need to go down a notch from most settings – in ultra tile, these games work well but below 60 fps.
It took 300 10 minutes 26 seconds to convert a 4K video to 1080p resolution using the Helios Handbrake app. It was slower than the gaming laptop average of 9:24. Zeferas G14 and Ryder tie 6:59 and the whole minute comes slowly at 5:59. The laptop runs silently when you are browsing the web or used as a board-GPU in office documents. During gaming, fans work overtime to reduce the temperature and it looks like the jet is getting ready for takeoff. The base warms up a bit near the eating vent and you can feel some heat on the left side of the keyboard.
However, everything loaded quickly and we didn’t notice any texture drop. Gaming performance is smooth, uninterrupted, and responsive while the graphics are clean and crisp. We’ve tested the laptop with a few intense games that require a quick response, including Call of Duty: WWII, and it works great by managing everything that each gaming laptop should do. The Acer Predator Helios 300 still has a heavier virtual laptop although it weighs much more than the Old Predator model. It is not the easiest to carry around and is best used on a desk. In terms of performance, Intel’s last-gen flagship CPU is still a strong performer.
Coming to real-world gaming, the Predator Helios 300 plays great performance Since the SSD is not large enough for large headers, you will need to use a 1TB drive for installation. During our file transfer testing, the Helios 300 mixed media averaged 741.9 megabytes per second for 25 seconds, and the MSI GE 667 averaged 739.6 Mbps, which comes back with 460 Mbps.
Acer Predator Helios 300 Laptop Graphics
NVIDIA’s GeForce GTX 10-Series graphics cards can increase performance by up to 40% compared to previous generations. Not only are they powerful, but they can also provide similar performance to their desktop parts with little difference in performance. It changes mobile gaming to make the most of the visual settings of your mobile games so you can enjoy it to the best of your ability. Additionally, this 10-series graphics card is VR enabled so you can plug in your virtual reality headset in a new way to experience the game.
Acer Predator Helios 300 Trackpad & Keyboard
Sitting on the trackpad at the bottom of the keyboard, which measures 10.7 x 7.8 cm. The trackpad is large enough to perform multi-finger gestures and fits the overall look of the device. One of our review units remains even responsive and accurate in its corners, which is not always the case with modern laptops. Acer also integrates two mouse buttons, which provide a soft click when pressed. In short, the Helios 300 has a decent trackpad.
The key to the Acer Helios 300K6S-Shari Chicklett has some shortcomings in the chassis. All the keys fall into its room measuring 15mm, which is a lot more than a sad hand, but we have a pleasantly short and a dot sign there. They all have a damp stop, which ensures that the keyboard stays cool even after fast typing. As soon as the image is released on the right, Acer has used a few keys, including blue trim, but all keys support RGB backlighting. There is a Predator button that opens the Predator Sense tool.
Helios 300 does not provide many protection features. The board has a Kensington lock slot and a trusted Platform Module 2.0 (TPM 2.0), but Microsoft needs to include all Windows in their devices if they pre-load with Windows 10, but unfortunately, Acer provides fingerprint scanners. Not even as a configurable option.
The battery life of this laptop is suitable for this type of device. Again, this isn’t surprising, but Predator was able to run 50% Brightness Plus in about 48 minutes before launching the entire Galaxy Movie of the Galaxy movie, including incessant web surfing on Wi-Fi before it reached 150 degrees. That time was below the mainstream gaming average: 15:15. The rider is out at 4:57 and Auras enters at 6: 1. The undisputed winner, however, is no doubt Jefferies G14 11:32.
This is a decent number compared to other gaming laptops. Of course, this is not close to what you would expect from an Ultrabook or other hyper-portable laptop. This is not the purpose of this laptop, so if you take this laptop, do not leave the house without that power cord.
