The laptop gives a great look with plenty of ports and surprisingly good audio. Milling performance and subpar battery life prevent this laptop from making our best list. Acer Aspire 5 Slim design
The Acer Aspire 5 is probably not as smart as what you’d expect from a mid-range laptop: an ultrabook like the Dell XPS 13 or Asus Zenbook The – it’s not your first choice, but you won’t be kicked out of bed. It has a premium “slim” feel to its design, the kind of look you get with MacBook programs. It’s slim and smooth with fine over-styling, it doesn’t give the eyes too much pleasure. Without packing this laptop into high-end hardware this means the laptop can be incredibly thin and not overheat. With its super-smooth surfaces, it is somewhat difficult to open. After you open it, your eyes are introduced to a lovely design. The first thing you notice is the minimal black bezel around the display. The Acer Aspire 5 Slim Backlit keyboard doesn’t look out of place with any MacBook Pro.
It has the classic black color and is also capable of holding down the number pad keys. But that doesn’t mean it’s a fickle, nasty laptop. With a balance of 2.1 x 36.16 x 2.3.3 cm and weighing 2.20 kg (4.8 lbs), the Acer Aspire 5 is quite a large laptop, but it cannot carry too heavy or unreasonable. Acer Aspire 5 The design of the Acer Aspire 5 is not glamorous. Opening the laptop reveals a decent-sized screen surrounded by a fairly dense bezel, which may make some people think space is ruined. This allows for at least a large keyboard for the bottom half of the laptop that we will reach in a moment.
Acer Aspire 5 design
Windows Hello has a compatible fingerprint scanner that lets you lock and unlock your laptop with your finger. I’m disappointed that Acer didn’t add a camera shutter to provide some user privacy. A basic and, for the most part, the plastic design with a pointed bezel, which the audience ambitiously describes as “narrow,” has left the design of this laptop behind the machine from Honor, Huawei, and Asus. The system has two USB 3.1 Type-A Zen1 ports, a USB 3.1 Type-C Zener 1 port, a USB 2.0 port, an HDMI 2.0 port, a microSD card reader, an Ethernet port, a Kensington lock, and a headset jack. Power. Acer Aspire 5 Slim Display
The Acer Aspire provides a full HD IPS display on a bright 15-inch monitor. The Aspire 5’s 15.6-inch, 1920 x 1080-pixel display is bright with good color saturation. IPS is the go-to screen hardware technology that provides the best viewing angles and better color displays. While it won’t feel like a Retina display on any MacBook Pro, it’s a pretty nice display for its price. The colors and tones were nicely rendered. The colors were well saturated, warm, and rich and the contrast was great. Its 15.6 “screen supports 1920 x 1080 FHD resolution and is powered by integrated Intel Plus graphics to provide clear images, videos, and documents.
The Full HD (1920 x 1080) screen welcomes, movies and photos look much better than laptops with low resolution, and includes Acer’s color detection technology, which claims that the screen dynamically adjusts to create gamma and saturation in real-time to make it look the best. Can. A small amount of bezel z around the edge of the screen maximizes your visualized area It provides a standard 60hz refresh rate. The Acer Aspire 5 comes with a slim Bluetooth shield, designed to help keep your eyeballs pressure-free from long sessions.
Acer Aspire 5 Display
It has Acer Color Intelligence, the software behind the screen that helps create this great display. If you’re a gamer, you should definitely look elsewhere as the Intel 620 UHD graphics can handle photos and videos and probably a non-standard indie game or two most modern games won’t work well when the laptop – though not built.
Acer Aspire 5 Slim performance
The Aspire 5 struggles to be a reasonable performer away from a powerhouse and, unfortunately, for even much less demanding productivity tasks. When the price of a laptop is close to the $ 300 mark, you may be wondering what kind of performance you are going to get from it. It certainly doesn’t have enough juice to play the latest games in higher settings. With 1-GHz Intel Core i5-1035G1 processor, 8GB RAM, 256GB PCI NVM SSD, and an Intel UHD Graphics GPU, the ambitious 5 is a workhorse, capable of easily managing all your daily emails, YouTube, And schoolwork.
The Acer Aspire 5 is equipped with a mobile processor, AMZ Raizen 3 3200U. It is a dual-core processor that can hit a clock speed of about 2.6 GHz at 3.5 GHz. This processor does not have hyperthreading, AMZ Raizen 3 3200U is a decent CPU for this price point you will still be able to watch videos, stream music, and all the good stuff without any problems. Aspire 5 uses an Intel integrated GPU, which I would not recommend for intense gaming.
Acer Aspire 5 Performance
It comes with Windows 10 in S mode, which is the latest operating system from Microsoft. S mode is a version of Windows 10 designed for security and performance, but it can be disabled / switched off. In S mode, you will only be allowed to use applications from the Windows Store. This laptop supports both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz on WiFi 802.11ac standard, which allows you to get a great and fast connection to your internet.
It has Bluetooth, so it can connect to any Bluetooth enabled device around your home. If you do not plan to use this laptop for heavy-use applications like video editing or general gaming, then 4GB may be better for you. You can upgrade to 4GB RAM and replace it with an 8GB stick which gives you long-lasting performance.
Acer Aspire 5 Slim keyboard and touchpad
Acer Aspire 5 4.1 x 3.1-inch touchpad is responsive when navigating websites or documents. The smooth surface makes Windows 10 adept at gestures, such as a two-finger swipe and a three-finger tap. The bottom angles respond strongly to feedback and are very clickable when using the right or left clicks. Although highly responsive and a great palm rest that gives great support, I couldn’t find the full size of the Spyry 5, the Chiki keyboard is a bit sweet and got a click-like to my liking.
Acer Aspire 5 Slim battery life
The battery life was quite impressive, the Aspire 5 comes with a 48Wh 3-cell Li-ion battery, which is at the rate of eight hours of Acer’s battery life. When the laptop mag battery test was run, consisting of uninterrupted web surfing via Wi-Fi at 150 nights of brightness, the laptop lasted for 6 hours and 55 minutes. Keep light on web-browsing and less strenuous tasks, you can live longer. This at least means that most of the workday should be taken in full charge which is really better than some laptops.
